Who Are We?

Salix Experience, LLC (dba Salix Wellness) is a black woman owned health & wellness business conceptualized in 2017. Salix /ˈsa.liks/ is the scientific name for the willow tree. The willow tree became our symbol to represent each client growing deep roots wherever they are in life while having the flexible nature of the branches that sway from the tree, representing versatility & resilience. Our hope is that our carefully crafted experiences leave each person feeling more grounded, re-invigorated & open minded.

Salix Wellness, LLC is a black woman owned business, spearheaded by wellness entrepreneur, Lisa Potillo-Crawley. Lisa graduated from Bucknell University with her Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology in 2015 and was accepted as a Fulbright Scholar to Malaysia During her time in Malaysia, she experienced high anxiety making her time difficult. At the suggestion of her roommate, she tried her first yoga class to relieve stress. It was here that she met her passion for holistic self care.

In 2020, Lisa graduated from her 200 HR YTT from the Studio BE in HTX. Since then, she has continued her education by receiving her Usui Reiki 1 & II attunement; completing a 40HR Prenatal Yoga Training with Cherished Wellness in Atlanta & 6HR Sound Healing through Sankofa Yoga & Wellness Center. Her unwaivering vision is to share techniques that would become a beneficial lifestyle change.

Lisa currently works as a yoga teacher & Wellness Representative at Restore Hyperwellness. When she is not working you can find her caring for her plant babies, hanging out at the nearest park/trail or planning her next trip out of the country. Her vision is to one day create retreats and bring others along for the ride!
